Physical Education Department
At Springfield, we believe that physical education is essential to nurturing our students’ overall well-being and character.
Our PE programme goes beyond physical fitness. We aim to instil important values such as resilience, teamwork, discipline, and respect. We also emphasise healthy living and eating habits, helping students make informed choices that support lifelong health. Safety is at the heart of all our activities, ensuring that students learn, play, and grow in a secure and supportive environment.
We understand that while knowing the importance of well-being is easy, truly living it requires guidance, practice, and commitment. At Springfield, we are dedicated to empowering our students to take meaningful steps toward healthy, balanced, and values-driven lives. We warmly invite you to join us on this journey to unlock every student’s full potential.

All students undergo the fundamentals of fitness & conditioning and health education. Movement concepts are introduced through Springfield’s unique sport climbing programme. Intra-school games, known as Team Challenge are organized for the students to promote teamwork and lifelong sports.

Springfield Carnival
Our inaugural Springfield Carnival transformed the school grounds into a vibrant hub of sporting activities and friendly competition. Students participated in an array of traditional sports and novel games, fostering both competitive spirit and camaraderie. The carnival featured innovative station games, inter-class competitions, and exciting relay events that encouraged participation from students of all abilities.

Resilience Run
This year's Resilience Run proved to be a testament to our students' determination and endurance. The event challenged participants to push their boundaries at Bedok Reservoir Park. Students trained diligently in the weeks leading up to the event, developing not only their physical stamina but also mental fortitude. The event culminated in an inspiring display of perseverance, with numerous personal bests achieved.

Team Challenge
The Team Challenge event embodied our commitment to developing collaborative skills and strategic thinking through physical activities. Students worked in teams to overcome various obstacles and complete complex tasks that required both physical prowess and mental acuity. The challenges included problem-solving elements, communication exercises, and physical activities that could only be completed through effective teamwork. This event particularly highlighted the importance of cooperation, leadership, and mutual support in achieving common goals.

Track Challenge
The objective of the Track Challenge is to encourage students to develop their physical fitness, resilience, and teamwork through friendly athletic competition. By participating, students build healthy habits, gain confidence in their abilities, and learn the value of perseverance and sportsmanship. This experience not only promotes overall well-being but also strengthens bonds among peers, fostering a positive and supportive school community.
